Cotton Down Triple Digits

Front month cotton futures are trading Friday’s session with losses so far. Old crop futures are down triple digits at midday, as May options will expire. New crop cotton prices are down 55 to 60 points at midday.

USDA’s Daily Spot Quotations report for 4/15 showed 5,758 bales sold at spot. The Cotlook A index was 91.5 cents/lb for 4/15 after a 240 point increase. USDA’s AWP for cotton is 64.92 cents/lb and will be updated after the close.

May 21 Cotton  is at 83.83, down 119 points,

Jul 21 Cotton  is at 85.12, down 114 points,

Dec 21 Cotton  is at 82.51, down 57 points
